On Location Portrait Photography - Young AviatorPortrait photography does not have to take place in a photo studio. Actually, I prefer portrait photos that tell a story. Of course, good studio work can tell a story as well, but for my personal photo style, shots on location is what I prefer. The portrait below was captured at the March Air Museum in Riverside, California.Photographed against the fuselage of a vintage airplane, I capitalized on the young girls jacket to help add to the overall avionic feel of the portrait. In addition, the image was converted from it's original form to HDR, then filters added in Photoshop to strip the color and add a sepia tone to recreate a vintage image. ![]()
